Welcome to our latest edition of the Remploy ‘Putting ability first’ newsletter.

This month sees part one of blog series on neurodiversity. Kath Wood (Disability Training and Consultancy Specialist) looks at why we should focus on maximising potenital rather than just problem solving when supporting learners and colleagues with neurodiverse conditions. We have also extended our summer offer on mental health training. 

Neurodiversity - difference not difficulty

The term neurodiversity describes the different ways brains function, and is used as an umbrella term for a variety of conditions including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, Tourette’s and autism.

We are currently working with the Education and Training Foundation to ensure learners with dyslexia, hearing loss and autism receive the best possible education. The first course will focus on dyslexia and takes place on October 29, in London. Each of the three courses are also available to be delivered by us on your premises, you can find out more here...
